First, grab a bin and put anything in it that doesn’t belong in the bedroom, put clothes away immediately once you undress. Place dirty clothes in the laundry basket right away, remember to keep your clothes off the floor.

Make your bed every day! Your bed is the most important piece of furniture in your home – it’s where you drift off to sleep every night to recharge for the next day. This not only makes your room look clean and organized but it keeps your sheets clean from dust mites.

Strip all the sheets and pillow cases, including the comforter, mattress cover and bed skirt, and launder — Avoid using harsh chemicals that might damage the mattress material. Remove stains using a mild soap and cold water.

The key to dusting is working down from the top. Going from higher surfaces to lower ones means you won’t end up having to dust twice! Use warm, soapy water to wipe down baseboards, then remove any area rugs and vacuum.

Keep you side table clean. Set a limit of how many things you’re willing to keep on flat surfaces like dressers and night tables. Three to five items per surface is ideal.

Dedicate 10 Minutes Each Week to keeps your bedroom clean on an on-going basis, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning mirrors and horizontal surfaces, and general tidying.
